1. COVID-19 Variants:

Any change in the status of this information * New Variants: As we know more about new variants that emerge from time to time. The transmissibility, immunity evasion and virulence attributes of variants may differ But the covid-19 variants continue to be monitored, and researched.

Vaccines and Treatments – seeks to address the development of vaccines, both preventative measures as well antiviral treatments in order to effectively control COVID-19 along with its variants. That could lead to recommendations for booster doses and new, redesigned vaccines.

Respiratory Viruses:

Influenza: While seasonal flu remains a concern with annual updates to the mixes of circulating strains in our influenza vaccines.

RSV: Respiratory syncytial virus ( RSV) F — is on track to impact young kids and older adults. Vaccines and cures are in the works and under testing.

3. Other Emerging Viruses:

Ebola and Marburg: Short-lived episodes of the Ebola virus have appeared in Africa, as well as occasional outbreaks of Marburg. It is particularly important to be vigilant about targeted surveillance and containment in these areas.
